Faced with worsening energy scarcity, environmental damage and climate change, China is striving to develop renewable energy solutions; in particular, large-scale on-grid solar power station is an ideal choice.

With ample sunshine and vast desert landmass, Qaidam Basin in Qinghai Province is regarded as one of the optimal locations to commercialize the large-scale on-grid solar power plants in China. CTDC has successfully become one of the first overseas listed Chinese companies to obtain the 25-year operating license from Chinese government, which enable us to be an eligible operator of large-scale on-grid solar power stations in China. We have accomplished the following substantial milestones:

December 27, 2008, we entered into an agreement with local government of Qinghai Haixi Mongolian-Tibetan Autonomous Region to build large-scale on-grid solar power plant in Qaidam Basin.

March 20, 2009,representatives of CTDC reported to Chairman Hu Jintao on our solar projects in Beijing. Chairman Hu showed great interest in solar energy solutions.

October 27, 2009,CTDC entered into an agreement with China Technology Solar Power Holdings Limited (“CTSP”) which holds a direct 100% equity interest in the Delingha 100MW Solar Plant Project, to acquire 51% in equity interest of CTSP. The Phase I 10MW of “Delingha 100MW Solar Plant Project” has obtained 25-year operation license from Chinese governments.
